MTK stands for MediaTek, and MediaTek is a known as chip manufacturing company situated in Taiwan that mostly outsources their products, hence they are regarded as Fabless companies.

How to Flash/Write Frimware On MTK Devices?

Procedure #1.

Install VCOM Drivers.

  • Download VCOM Driver
  • Open device manager.
To open device manager
#1.Right click on My Computer
#2.Click On Device Manager
  • Now go to Action>Add Legacy Hardware
  • Now press Next and select Install Driver's Manually
  • From the browse option Select ".inf" file
  • Once it finished you will see something like this

      Once its finished check wether its installed succesfilly or not

      procedure #2.

      Flashing/Writing Frimware

      • Download "Official Stock ROM"
      • To download "Official Stock ROM" Seach on "Google" like this "Download <Your device brand> <Device Model> Stock Rom"
      Ex.
      Device Brand : Karbon
      Model: Machfive Plus
      The You Need To Search "Download Karbon Machfive Plus Stock ROM"

      • After downloading Unzip/Extract the ".Zip" file using WinRar, WinZip, 7Zip, Etc.
      • After extracting open The folder and again open sp flashtool folder
      • And run Flash_tool.exe
      Run Flash_tool.exe

      Now you will see some thing like this

      (Sometime you will not see like this its show according to it's version)
      • Make sure that download agent is MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin

      Check Download Agent

      • Also Tick DA DL All With Check Sum
      • Now its time to select scatter file(scatter file look "MT6580_Android_scatter.txt" some thing like this found on extracted folder in frimware path.)

      Loading Scatter File

      • After loading scatter file press Download option.

      Press Download Option



      • Now connect/plugin you phone using USB cable and insert battery ( in some case you need to plug your phone by pressing volume down button with battery)
      • Now you will see some thing like this after the flashing finished
      • Now you have succesfully flashed your MTK Smartphone
